Hadija Namale starts treatment for healthier chapter after hospital admission

Veteran music icon Hadija Namale is set to begin a healthier chapter of her life after being admitted to CORSU Hospital for specialized treatment.

To the legendary singer, the move is a fulfillment of the pledge made by Uganda Communications Commission Executive Director Hon. Nyombi Thembo, who recently promised to support her after a courtesy visit by musicians Spice Diana, Dan Mugula, and Matiya Luyima.

During the visit, Namale opened up about the severe bone pain that had been troubling her for a long time.

In response, she was assured of full medical support, including admission to the hospital on an all-expenses-paid arrangement.

Speaking to the press, Mesach Semakula revealed that Namale shared her desire to return to the studio once her health improves.

According to him, the singer hopes to re-record some of her classic songs that were previously produced with limited resources and later upload them onto major music streaming platforms to benefit from today’s digital music market.

The same initiative is also being considered for other veteran artists, including Wamala Ssebandagaze, Vincent Muwonge, and Hassan Namatovu, among others who never fully benefited financially from their music during the earlier days of the industry.
