Supremacy Lounge came alive as the highly anticipated finale of the Real DJ Scratch Battle Season 3, powered by Smirnoff, brought together some of Uganda’s most promising deejaying talents for an unforgettable night of competition, entertainment, and celebration.
The grand showdown served as a platform to spotlight emerging and underground DJs who continue to shape Uganda’s vibrant nightlife scene. Eleven contestants stepped onto the decks, battling through intense five-minute elimination rounds for the coveted title of Scratch Master and a share of the prize money.
In a dramatic finale, JX Deejay emerged victorious despite facing an unexpected setback when the knob on his mixer broke mid-performance. Demonstrating remarkable composure, technical skill, and showmanship, he improvised seamlessly and impressed both the judges and the audience to claim the championship title and the UGX 5 million grand prize.
The first runner-up, Mr. Genius, also delivered a strong performance throughout the competition and walked away with UGX 3 million courtesy of Smirnoff.
Speaking at the event, Smirnoff Brand Manager Raymond Karama emphasized the brand’s commitment to supporting creative talent within Uganda’s entertainment industry.
“As Smirnoff, we believe that a great night out is only as good as the person behind the decks. This battle is a celebration of those who aren’t afraid to be bold and do things their own way as we continue to elevate underground talent onto the grand stage,” Karama said.
The competition attracted contestants from different parts of the country, highlighting the growing reach of Uganda’s DJ culture. Among them were Soroti-based Yung Swag and Lira’s DJ Tompoo, the 2025 Northern Uganda Best DJ, who arrived with a passionate entourage of over 50 supporters from Northern Uganda.
Female talent also made a strong impression during the competition. Galaxy FM’s DJ Roshian showcased her skills alongside MM Media’s DJ Sham, who made a confident and energetic on-stage mixing debut, earning applause from the crowd.
The contestants performed under the scrutiny of an experienced judging panel comprising NTV Uganda’s DJ Easy Samuel, Galaxy FM’s DJ Herbert, DJay Denno, and DJ Magic Switch. The competition quickly intensified as Round One eliminated three contestants before the remaining DJs advanced into head-to-head battles in Round Two.
As the mix decks heated up, Smirnoff Ice kept revelers refreshed throughout the evening, adding to the electric atmosphere inside Supremacy Lounge.
By the final round, only two DJs remained in contention, including competitors seeking redemption after previous disappointments in Season Two. However, it was JX Deejay who ultimately stole the spotlight, securing not only the title but also an additional $300 cash bonus courtesy of DJ Gadgets.
The night also saw MM Media reward female DJ Nelly Rwaxy with a brand-new DJ controller after she emerged victorious in the event’s quiz and trivia segment.
The Real DJ Scratch Battle Season 3 finale proved to be more than just a competition. It was a celebration of passion, resilience, creativity, and the immense talent driving Uganda’s deejaying culture, all powered by the bold energy of Smirnoff.
