The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has advised Ugandan content creators to keep their relationships private until the right time to make them public.
Mayiga made the remarks during a candid meeting with content creators, artists, and television personalities, where he commended them for their contribution to society through entertainment and creative content.

The Katikkiro praised the creatives for their efforts in bringing joy to people through their work, noting that their skits and performances help many individuals cope with stress, sorrow, and life’s daily challenges.
He explained that creative content plays a vital role in uplifting people’s spirits, especially during difficult moments, and encouraged the creators to continue using their talents to positively impact society.
Besides applauding them for their creativity, Mayiga urged them to keep their love lives away from social media and avoid publicizing relationships before they are officially established.
“Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has advised us to keep our relationships private until it’s the right time to make them official,” Reign one of the attendees shared after the meeting.
In recent months, Mayiga has made it a habit to engage with creatives from different sectors, sharing life lessons and discussing the qualities he admires in their work.
He also encouraged members of the public to make time for relaxation and recreation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life while taking care of their mental well-being.
