Latinum Lati Detained After Road Accident, Faces Theft Allegations

Ugandan singer Latinum Lati reportedly spent the night in police custody after an incident along Nsambya Road that involved a road accident and allegations of theft.

According to reports, Latinum, born Mbangira Tonny, allegedly collided with a Mercedes-Benz belonging to another motorist. Following the accident, the vehicle owner reported that a laptop and approximately UGX 2 million in cash were missing.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged theft remain unclear, and authorities have not publicly linked Latinum to the missing items beyond the ongoing investigation.

Videos circulating on social media show police officers escorting the singer from the scene as he repeatedly questioned why officers were arresting him and urged bystanders to record the incident.
