For someone she has never met, Feffe Bussi has made quite an impression on Juliana Kanyomozi.
The celebrated singer says she has followed the rapper’s journey from a distance, often coming across clips of him speaking warmly about her and expressing his desire to record a song together.
Despite living in the same city, Juliana revealed that their paths have never crossed.
I have never met Feffe Bussi. I do not know why, but I have seen a few clips of him giving me shout-outs and saying he would love to do a song with me. It is funny because we live in such a small city, yet we have never met. We only seem to see each other on TV.
Speaking on Deep Talk, Juliana admitted she has long admired Feffe Bussi’s artistry, particularly his ability to freestyle without losing the meaning of his lyrics.
One of my favourite things about Feffe Bussi is his freestyle ability. I follow a lot of talented people and what they do online because I am always on social media, and I also attend events. I think he is the only rapper I have seen in Uganda who can freestyle like that. He just keeps going, and his lyrics still make perfect sense even though he is coming up with them on the spot. That is a rare skill.
The admiration appears to be mutual.
While Feffe Bussi has publicly expressed his interest in collaborating with Juliana, the award-winning vocalist says she would also welcome the opportunity when the timing is right.
Hopefully, one day I will get the chance to reach out to Feffe Bussi.
