Grammy-winning singer Tems has revealed why romance with a fellow Nigerian celebrity is something she simply does not see happening.
The conversation came up during an interview at the BET Awards when she was asked whether she would ever shoot her shot at Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
Tems laughed off the suggestion, saying she knows of the footballer but has never met him.
Then she shut the idea down.
I know who Maduka Okoye is but I do not know him personally. I wish I did though. But shooting shots at him, we do not do that over here.
For Tems, the reason goes beyond Okoye.
She says the relationships she has built within Nigeria’s entertainment industry feel more like family than anything romantic.
We [Nigerian celebrities] friend each others and we are family. I see my male colleagues as brothers.
