Silo Daycation delivers another Stylish Sunday escape – Sqoop

Kampala’s brunch enthusiasts gathered at Silo 15 Lounge on Sunday for another edition of the popular Silo Daycation, an event that has steadily established itself as one of the city’s signature lifestyle experiences.

Guests spent the afternoon enjoying a blend of food, music and premium tequila as the venue transformed into a vibrant social hub for revellers looking to unwind at the start of a new month.

Now nearing its second anniversary, the Daycation series has become synonymous with relaxed Sunday entertainment, combining live performances, curated cuisine and cocktail experiences. This month’s edition once again partnered with Don Julio tequila, which remained central to the afternoon’s celebrations.

Visitors were welcomed with a dedicated Don Julio-themed photo area, where many captured keepsake moments before settling in to enjoy the festivities.

Throughout the event, bartenders served a selection of tequila-based cocktails and frozen drinks, offering guests different ways to enjoy the spirit while socialising.

Speaking during the event, Uganda Breweries Limited Senior Brand Manager for Tequila and Rum East Africa, Judie Nandekya, said the partnership reflects Don Julio’s commitment to celebrating meaningful moments with consumers.

“Don Julio is made for moments that bring people together. The June edition of the Silo Daycation was another opportunity to celebrate with our consumers as they usher in a new month, reflect on the first half of the year and look ahead to the months to come,” she said.

Entertainment remained a key highlight of the afternoon, with Selector Jay, DJ Alisha and Melvyn DJ taking guests through a mix of dancehall, Afrobeats, Afro-house and hip-hop. MC Josh kept the audience engaged between sets.

As sunset approached, media personality and Don Julio 1942 influencer Sheilah Gashumba, also known as Lil Stunner, wrapped up the event with an energetic Amapiano set that drew revellers onto the dance floor.

With its combination of music, food and premium beverages, the Silo Daycation continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Kampala’s standout Sunday social experiences.
