Events promoter Bajjo has proposed what he believes is a better way to settle questions surrounding the paternity of children said to belong to Muhammad Ssegirinya without exhuming the late legislator’s body.
Speaking during an interview, Bajjo argued that disturbing Ssegirinya’s remains would be unnecessary if the family decides to pursue DNA testing.
He said he was close to Ssegirinya and believes he has enough knowledge of his personal life to speak on the matter.
We used to go to the sauna together. Most times he used to sleep at my place, so he used to tell me most of his things. I know his biological children.
Instead of exhuming Ssegirinya’s body, Bajjo proposed using DNA from a child whose paternity, he believes, is not in dispute.
According to him, that approach would answer lingering questions without disturbing the former legislator’s final resting place.
They should get one of the children called Nagirinya because everyone is sure she is his biological child. Take her blood sample and compare it with the children whose paternity is being questioned instead of disturbing Ssegirinya’s peace.
