Cardi B Scores Another Court Win as Tasha K Agrees to Pay $60,000

Cardi B has secured another legal victory in her long-running court battle with blogger Tasha K, who has agreed to pay the American rapper $60,000 to settle a dispute over attorneys’ fees.

The agreement, approved by a Florida bankruptcy court, resolves contempt proceedings stemming from allegations that Tasha K violated a court-ordered non-disparagement agreement linked to Cardi B’s 2022 defamation victory.

According to court filings, Cardi B’s legal team accused Tasha K, whose legal name is Latasha Kebe, of making repeated online comments about the rapper, her estranged husband, Offset, and NFL star Stefon Diggs despite restrictions imposed under her bankruptcy agreement.

The filing alleged “no fewer than at least 25 documented and egregious violations” of the non-disparagement clause.

Under the settlement, Tasha K will pay $30,000 within 28 days, while the remaining $30,000 is due by December 31, 2026. If she fails to meet those deadlines, Cardi B could seek to enforce the original attorneys’ fee award of more than $110,000.

Court documents state that both parties agreed to the reduced amount to avoid the expense, delay and uncertainty of further litigation.

The latest settlement is separate from Cardi B’s landmark 2022 defamation judgment, in which a jury awarded the Grammy-winning rapper nearly $4 million after finding that Tasha K had defamed her. That judgment remains in effect and is not altered by the new agreement.
