Bravion MC, whose real name is Bravion Godwin Mumbere, is a star on the rise in Uganda. The Emcee, Events Host, Influencer, and Talent Manager has recently ventured into music collaborations and his song ‘Anaconda’ feat. Lutty Neika is gaining airplay.
Born in Kasese at the border of Uganda and Congo and raised in Kampala, Bravion MC only kicked off his emceeing journey professionally in late 2024. He shares what makes him tick, aspirations, goals, and so much more.

What sparked your passion for emceeing?
I have too much passion for music that I feel like my real talent is singing. But my parents seemed not to love that, so I joined MCing as a shortcut to join the art industry.
I also have a deep passion for entertaining people, so MCing gave me the perfect opportunity to combine my confidence, creativity, and love for making events memorable.
What’s the creative process like when you’re working on a new song with another artist?
When I’m working on a new song with another artist, the process usually begins with discussing the message and vibe we want to create. From there, we share ideas, experiment with melodies and lyrics, and build on each other’s creativity.
I believe collaboration works best when everyone brings their unique style while remaining open to new ideas. Throughout the process, communication and mutual respect are essential, and our goal is always to create a song that feels authentic and connects with listeners.
Can you describe some of your most memorable emcee experiences early in your career?
The Vibes Minister’s regime, it was my first experience. I was scared, but people turned up more than I expected. I think it’s the best MC show so far. Cask being a big venue and people filling it was really amazing.
How did you develop your unique emcee style and stage presence?
Through practice, I combine creativity and practice. I always want to be different every time I hold the microphone. I developed my unique style through trial and error. I experimented with humor, storytelling, audience interaction, and voice control until I found an approach that felt natural and effective.
Through experience, observation, and continuous improvement, you get better. Early on, I learned from experienced hosts, but I also focused on staying true to my personality. By hosting different events and interacting with diverse audiences, I developed my style.
Every event has helped me refine my stage presence and become more confident and adaptable.
What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as an emcee?
I haven’t had any big challenges yet. Every trial that comes up is expected.
When did you decide to transition into music collaborations, and what motivated this shift?
This year. I had fear about collaborations coz I thought when I make a project with artists, they will leave the whole project for me to push, but I tried it out this year, and I think I have the biggest song now (ANACONDA) trending.
Who were some of your early musical inspirations, both locally and internationally?
All I can say is I had a musical dream all the way, but I was motivated by so many people, more so the reception they were given.
How do you approach selecting collaborators for your projects?
Basically, it’s all about friendship and a few business-related ideologies.
Can you tell us about a specific music collaboration that was particularly meaningful to you and why?
I have a new unreleased project coming up soon. I think it’s going to be hard coz I know where to touch.
What do you aim to bring to the Ugandan music scene with your collaborative efforts?
Let’s wait. I guess I’m going to be one of the biggest people in the industry soon, both in doing music projects and promoting Ugandan music.
What are your future aspirations as an emcee?
As a bar hypeman and MC, my goal is to become one of the leading entertainers in the industry by hosting major club events, concerts, and festivals. I want to continue improving my stage presence, expand my audience, build a recognizable brand, and create unforgettable experiences wherever I perform.
What advice would you give to aspiring emcees and musicians in Uganda looking to make their mark?
Stay consistent, remain authentic, and never stop learning. Talent is important, but discipline, professionalism, and hard work are what sustain a successful career.
For aspiring emcees, I encourage them to practice regularly, develop their own unique style, and learn how to connect with different audiences. Confidence, self-belief, and preparation are key to commanding a stage.
