Media personality MC Kats has revealed that Fille Mutoni stood by him when he had nowhere else to turn after learning he was HIV positive.
Speaking in an interview, Kats said the diagnosis left him devastated and struggling to cope. Despite owning two cars and living comfortably in a nice apartment in Najjera, he said he abandoned everything because he had lost hope and started living in his car.
I had two cars, beautiful things but I was still up and down so I left there everything. Fille housed me in her house for three months, in a one room.
He explained that he kept most of his clothes in his car and would only return to Fille’s home to sleep, describing the singer as someone who genuinely stood by him during his lowest moment.
Because of that experience, Kats said he will always regard Fille as a true friend despite the end of their romantic relationship. He noted that they rebuilt their lives together from humble beginnings and that her support is something he can never forget.
The TV presenter also reflected on his future, saying he still hopes to get married someday but is in no rush.
“Marrying one day? It’s my wish but I don’t want to marry wrong. What I’m seeing in this world is scaring me,” he said, adding that he wants to make the right choice when the time comes.
