Selecta Jeff has urged fellow DJs and music curators to take a break from work and start enjoying life outside the booth.
He believes many of them spend so much time entertaining others that they forget to enjoy themselves.
In a post shared on X, Selecta Jeff challenged DJs to think about the last time they went out simply to have fun instead of performing or critiquing the DJ behind the decks.
As a DJ, when was the last time you went out to have fun?.. not to DJ or to criticize what the DJ is playing. Just you, outside with friends to have fun.
He reminded them that despite working full-time in the entertainment industry, they also deserve to enjoy normal lives away from work.
Do it once in a while, much as we are full-time entertainers, we are also human & we deserve to live normal lives.
He went on to encourage DJs to take a weekend off, spend quality time with friends, and invest in their relationships instead of turning every outing into another work assignment.
Selecta Jeff rounded off the post with a humorous message, urging his colleagues to make time for the people they are dating and jokingly telling them to leave bottle girls alone.
Take that weekend off, go out and have fun with your friends. And do not forget to have s** with whoever you are dating. Do not disturb bottle girls. Send this to that DJ friend of yours.
Although delivered with humour, the message carried a serious reminder that balancing work with personal life is just as important as keeping the party going.
