Chozen Blood has made a candid confession about his longtime friendship with Winnie Nwagi, admitting he was once seriously attracted to the songstress but deliberately kept things from turning romantic.
Speaking during an interview with Galaxy TV’s Rewind, the singer didn’t hold back, revealing that Nwagi’s beauty, confidence, killer dance moves, and toned gym physique had him feeling the chemistry.
“Honestly, I was sexually attracted to her. She’s a beautiful woman with how she dances, her gym body, she’s melanin and all that,” Chozen confessed.
But despite the attraction, Chozen says they made a mature decision to protect what they had instead of risking it all for romance. According to him, not every attraction has to end in a relationship, especially when there’s a genuine friendship and strong professional connection worth preserving.
The singer also opened up about the emotional bond they share, revealing that Nwagi became one of his biggest pillars during one of the darkest moments of his life. After losing a parent during the COVID-19 lockdown, he says she stood by him, offering support and helping him stay strong.
As if that wasn’t enough, Chozen credits Nwagi for completely changing his lifestyle. While she was dedicated to fitness, he admits he was busy enjoying champagne and ignoring his health. Watching her discipline inspired him to hit the gym, and the rest is history.
“She was already exercising and I wasn’t. I used to drink a lot of champagne and my body was weak. She was aggressive and I was lazy, but I got motivated in a way, and she was there for me through it all,” he shared.
Chozen Blood and Winnie Nwagi have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years, including a public fallout that briefly put their friendship on ice. Fortunately, the two later buried the hatchet and rebuilt their bond, proving that some connections are stronger than controversy.
