Prima Kadarshi: Ugandan artists have nothing new to offer at concerts

Prima Kadarshi has weighed in on the poor turnout at Ugandan concerts, arguing that many local artists are struggling because they continue to offer fans the same experience without any innovation.

Speaking during a recent TikTok Live, Prima said Ugandan musicians have become too predictable in the way they stage their concerts, with repetitive performances, similar stage concepts, and little creativity to excite audiences.

According to her, this has left fans with little motivation to spend money attending local shows.

They are my friends so if I can’t tell them, who will? It seems people fear telling them the truth. Your concerts are boring, we can’t see the same basic things every time.

I woke up one day and decided I won’t go back to Ugandan events. I don’t have FOMO because I can’t be paying my money for rubbish.

She further criticized artists for sticking to the same fashion styles and presentation year after year, saying there is no effort to reinvent themselves or deliver fresh experiences.

Prima added that poor organization and a lack of creativity have contributed to declining interest in concerts, urging artists to rethink how they package and market their live shows if they hope to win audiences back.
