Davido says he has no plans to contest for political office despite believing he has enough public support to win any free and fair election in Nigeria.
Speaking during a livestream with Carter Efe, the Afrobeats star dismissed the idea of entering politics because he does not trust the country’s electoral process.
He argued that a lack of transparency discourages him from pursuing any political ambition for now.
Even so, Davido expressed confidence that voters would back him if elections reflected the true will of the people.

Instead of campaigning for office, the singer said he will remain focused on his music career while waiting for meaningful electoral reforms.
