Sheila Gashumba has broken her silence after a viral video sparked fresh speculation about her love life, insisting the claims circulating on social media are false.
The media personality found herself at the centre of breakup rumours after the video alleged that she had parted ways with her partner and moved on with someone else.
Although the radio station later deleted the clip, it had already spread widely after users downloaded and reshared it.

Instead of letting the rumours speak for her, Sheila turned to Snapchat to set the record straight.
She revealed that she has been in a relationship with the same person for about a year and dismissed claims that she was searching for someone new.

I am in the space in my life where I am fully content. I am not searching for anyone, and I am not talking to or seeing anyone apart from the person I have been with for the past year.
Sheila explained that she had intentionally kept the relationship off social media because she wanted to protect something she considers special.
She also disclosed that she contacted those behind the viral video and asked them to remove it.
By the time they did, however, copies had already made their way across social media.
Sheila urged anyone who had seen the clip not to believe its claims.
Please disregard that information!
The ordeal, she said, forced her to do something she had never done before.

In another Snapchat post, Sheila revealed that she had never previously called a radio station or blogger to ask for a story to be taken down or to clear her name.
She said the false reports had left her disturbed and heartbroken by the negativity surrounding her.
This is very disturbing and full of lies. The amount of negativity surrounding me is heartbreaking.
While Sheila chose to keep her relationship out of the public eye for the past year, the viral rumours ultimately prompted her to acknowledge it publicly.
Her message leaves little room for doubt: she is still with the same person, she is happy, and she wants false information about her love life to stop circulating.
