Kapeke has opened up about his spending habits, revealing that he can leave home with about Shs 1.5 million set aside purely for casual spending and entertainment.
Speaking to Galaxy TV’s Rewind entertainment team, the reigning Artist of the Year said he believes in investing heavily in himself and does not see spending large sums on personal items as a major concern.
Kapeke pointed to his taste for expensive gadgets as an example, suggesting that spending about Shs 8 million on a smartphone is not an amount that would trouble him.
When asked how much cash he normally moves with, Kapeke initially appeared reluctant to disclose the figure, citing security concerns. He eventually revealed that he typically has a sizeable amount available when he steps out.
“That’s balance money for me after planning other things,” Kapeke explained.
“Honestly speaking, I move with like Shs 1.5 million just for vibe and casual spending,” he added.
To back up his claim, Kapeke reportedly showed the presenter the balance on his phone, which he said indicated that he had around Shs 1.5 million available.
His comments have since sparked conversation about the spending power and lifestyle of Uganda’s entertainment personalities, particularly the amount some artists are willing to set aside for leisure and everyday enjoyment.
