Adam Driver is joining Marvel’s new X-Men movie, but he will not be wearing a superhero costume.
The American actor actor will play Mister Sinister, the powerful villain who will face Marvel’s new generation of mutants.
Driver revealed the role in a video message shown at Disney’s D23 event.
The cast also features English actor Kit Connor as Cyclops, Australian actress Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and American actresses Sadie Sink, Inde Navarrette and Maya Boyd as Jean Grey, Rogue, and Storm, respectively.
American actor Christopher Abbott will play Professor X, completing a new lineup that will introduce the X-Men to a fresh generation of MCU audiences.
Jake Schreier directs the film, with Marvel targeting May 5, 2028 for its theatrical release.
The movie will mark a new beginning for the mutant heroes under Marvel Studios.
