Ugandan social media activist and photojournalist Ninye Tabz has called on music fans to stop comparing King Saha and Ray G after the two artists held major concerts at the Kololo Independence Grounds a week apart.
Tabz wants fans to celebrate both musicians instead of turning their successful shows into a competition over who attracted the bigger crowd.
In a post on X, he urged fans to appreciate what both artists achieved at the Kampala venue.
Kindly stop the comparisons and let’s celebrate the victorious concerts and history made by our brothers King Saha yesterday and Ray G last weekend!
He followed up with another appeal to fans:
We can celebrate and congratulate without ridiculing others!
The debate comes after Ray G held his “Tuze Kololo” concert on August 7, before King Saha returned to the same venue a week later for the “Tondeka E Kololo Festival” on August 14.
Photos and videos from both events showed large crowds, with fans from different parts of the country turning up to support the two musicians.
The back-to-back concerts have since fuelled comparisons over which artist attracted the bigger audience, with supporters of both camps making their case online.
