Irene Namatovu’s final rehearsal ahead of her Kampala Serena Hotel concert turned into a star-studded gathering, with some of Uganda’s biggest music names showing up to support her.
Mesach Semakula, Rema Namakula, Maureen Nantume, Ronald Mayinja, and Geoffrey Lutaaya joined Irene during the rehearsal as she put the finishing touches on her performance.
The musicians sang alongside her and added their energy to the session, giving the rehearsal the feel of a celebration rather than just another preparation day.
Their appearance also underlined the support Irene has from fellow artistes as she prepares for one of her major shows this year.
Irene will take the Serena Hotel Kampala stage this Friday, August 21, for a concert expected to attract longtime fans and lovers of classic Ugandan music.
Event organiser Bajjo and Irene have also thanked fans who have already bought tickets and tables, while encouraging those who have not yet secured their spots to do so ahead of the show.
With the final rehearsal now done, Irene is ready for the main event, with some of Uganda’s most respected music figures already in her corner.
