Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has sparked conversation online after calling out women who, in her view, cross the line at weddings by getting overly close to the groom.
In a TikTok video, Zari reacted to several clips showing female guests dancing closely with grooms and appearing overly familiar with them during their wedding celebrations.
She described the behaviour as disrespectful and made it clear that the groom’s relationship with the woman would not change her reaction.
I do not care if you are the baby mama that never got married, or sidechic who wants to be known.
Her warning became even more direct.
I will beat you.
Zari also encouraged women to form a group with their friends and intervene if another woman starts “acting funny” with the groom.
If things get out of hand, she said she would handle the aftermath.
Seriously, I will bail you out myself.
