A Pass warns musicians against choosing unsuitable concert venues

A Pass has advised fellow artists to carefully consider their fanbases when choosing venues for their shows, warning that picking a venue that does not match their audience can lead to disappointment and unnecessary stress.

Speaking during a TikTok Live, A Pass said musicians need to understand where their strength lies before announcing concerts, arguing that an artist should not choose a venue simply because it is prestigious or popular.

You organise a show somewhere it’s not meant to be and then you start crying before you even perform. You can go to your local stall and you can’t make people gather and you’re asking for Lugogo?

A Pass added that he is confident about staging shows at major venues such as Kololo Airstrip and Lugogo Cricket Oval, but noted that every artist has a different level of reach and should plan accordingly.

You reach the show and start cursing people but in actual sense you’re the problem when you shouldn’t have held the show at that venue. I can do places like Kololo and Lugogo.

His comments come as Ugandan musicians continue to explore different venues for concerts, with attendance often becoming a key measure of an artist’s popularity and commercial appeal.
