Google is giving eligible students a free year of its premium Gemini AI service.
The offer gives college students access to Google’s more advanced AI tools for studying, research and schoolwork without paying the usual subscription fee.
Students in the US can get Google AI Pro for one year, while eligible students in other countries can receive Google AI Plus.
Google is also adding study features to Gemini, including tools that can turn class materials into flashcards, quizzes and study guides.
The company says students can use the tools to understand difficult subjects and prepare for exams.
The offer comes as AI becomes increasingly popular among students who use it for research, studying and organising their work.
Eligible students can claim the free year through Google’s Gemini student programme.
