Daniel Craig, the English actor who played 007 for 15 years, left the role after “No Time to Die” in 2021.

The Search Moves Closer to the Finish Line
Fresh reports suggest the casting process has reached its final stage, although Amazon MGM Studios has not announced Daniel Craig’s successor.
Earlier reports said Denis Villeneuve, the Canadian filmmaker behind “Dune” and “Blade Runner 2049,” had joined producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman in moving selected actors into another round of auditions.
That development has only made the guessing game louder.
Several Actors Remain in the Conversation
English actor Callum Turner, known for “Fantastic Beasts” and “Masters of the Air,” has featured heavily in Bond speculation.
Australian actor Jacob Elordi, who rose to fame in “Euphoria” and starred in “Saltburn,” has also attracted attention, along with Scottish actor Jack Lowden, known for the spy series “Slow Horses.”
English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for “Kick-Ass” and “Bullet Train,” has also spent years at the centre of speculation about the role.
However, Amazon MGM Studios has not confirmed any of the names.
A New Team Takes Charge
While fans wait for the next 007, the team behind the film is already taking shape.
Villeneuve will direct the next Bond film, while Steven Knight, the British writer and creator of “Peaky Blinders,” is working on the screenplay.
Amy Pascal, the producer behind several recent “Spider-Man” films, and David Heyman, who produced the “Harry Potter” franchise, will oversee the project.

Pascal has suggested that fans could learn the identity of the next James Bond before the end of 2026.
For now, though, the role remains one of Hollywood’s biggest unanswered questions.
