Hollywood and R&B star Tyrese Gibson has arrived in Uganda, and he has already found a way to get people talking.
The Fast & Furious and Transformers actor shared a message written entirely in Luganda, thanking Ugandans for welcoming him and expressing excitement about his time in the Pearl of Africa.
The effort quickly caught attention online.
Tyrese may have had some local help putting the Luganda message together, but that did not stop Ugandans from appreciating the gesture.
He also revealed that he is looking forward to meeting President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Kainembabazi Museveni during his stay.
Away from the Luganda message, Tyrese’s visit also comes with a bigger mission.

Tyrese’s connection with Uganda is not entirely new.
He previously visited the country in 2012 and has more recently been associated with efforts to promote Uganda’s coffee internationally.
This time, though, his arrival has come with something extra: a Hollywood star, Ugandan coffee and a Luganda message that has already given people something to smile about.
