American actress and singer Serayah has ended her engagement to rapper and actor Joey Bada$$, accusing him of repeatedly cheating during their relationship.
Serayah announced the split in a lengthy social media statement on August 24, saying she had made the difficult decision to walk away from both the engagement and the relationship with the father of her child.
She said she had loved Joey and believed in the future they were building together. However, she said she eventually had to confront what she described as repeated infidelity, including during some of the most vulnerable moments of her life.
Serayah Speaks Out
The former Empire actress did not initially go into the intimate details of what led to the breakup. Instead, she used her statement to encourage women to trust their instincts when they believe something is wrong in a relationship.
Later, reports said Serayah shared and then deleted posts that included a recorded conversation allegedly involving Joey Bada$$ and another woman.
The posts added another layer to the public fallout, although the cheating allegations remain Serayah’s claims and Joey had not publicly responded at the time of the reports.
The couple had built a family together and welcomed a son in 2025. Now, Serayah says her focus is on protecting their child’s peace and maintaining a respectful relationship as co-parents.
What appeared to be a relationship heading toward marriage has now ended in a very public and painful breakup, with Serayah choosing to make her side of the story clear herself.
