Nigerian singer, songwriter and sound engineer Johnny Drille has revealed that he played a major behind-the-scenes role on Ayra Starr’s latest album, “Starrgirl,” mixing and mastering 10 of its 16 tracks.
Taking to social media, Drille said he had spent the past few weeks “locked in” working on the project and expressed pride in the work and the team behind it.
Haven’t said much on here lately. Been locked in on #StarrGirl these past couple of weeks. So proud of this work and the team behind it.
He then shared the 10 tracks he mixed and mastered: “Dangerous,” “Gimmie Dat,” “Midnight in New York,” “Hot Body,” “Dance,” “Who’s That Girl,” “Letter to God,” “Heaven Baby,” “Treasure” and “Hot Body (Remix).”
Released on August 14, 2026, “Starrgirl” contains 16 tracks and features collaborations with Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, KWN, Theodora and Danny Ocean.
