DJ Jacob Omutuuze has called on Ugandans to support Grace Nakimera as she prepares to take the stage for her upcoming concert at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut shortly after Nakimera’s August 31 press conference, the veteran radio presenter said he was happy to see the gospel singer return to the concert stage and praised her for being generous with those around her.
I am so happy that Grace Nakimera is going to hold a concert at Serena Hotel, and I am calling upon everyone to come through and support her because she is not selfish. I like very much someone who is not selfish. When you see me wearing someone’s shirt, just know they are not selfish.
Nakimera’s concert comes without a song currently dominating the music scene, but Jacob believes that should not stop an artiste with her catalogue and history from putting on a major show.
He pointed to the music Nakimera has built over the years, saying her name and legacy already give her enough reason to bring her fans together.
It is the right time for her to do a concert. Even though we have problems in Uganda, it is still the right time. She does not need to have a hit song to hold a concert. Her legacy speaks for itself.
