Nigerian singer-songwriter Fave has sparked questions about what happened behind the scenes of her recent Uganda performance after publicly calling out a promoter over her pay and treatment.
Fave recently touched down in Uganda, where African Simba hosted her at Thrones Lounge in Bugolobi, Kampala, on September 2, 2026, as Wahala marked its third anniversary.
The drama started when a fan recognized Fave’s outfit in one of the photos she shared on X from her Uganda trip and brought up the performance.
This is the night you performed for us at Thrones as if we had forced you (I recognize that outfit).
Fave did not take the comment lightly.
She fired back:
Your head no actually correct.
But the exchange did not end there.
Fave then posted a stronger complaint about the promoter involved in her Uganda visit.
It is people like you and that silly promoter that make it hard for people to have nice things to say about Uganda. Brought me to your country for so much less than I am worth and still treated me like shit. But I ignored because of my love for Uganda.
What Happened Behind the Scenes?
Fave has not shared details of the dispute, including how much she was paid or what led to her complaint about the promoter’s treatment.
The promoter she referred to has also not publicly responded to her claims or shared their side of the story.
For now, her comments have added an unexpected twist to what looked like a routine Uganda performance, leaving fans wondering what happened between the singer and the people who brought her to the country.
