Uganda’s comedy industry takes center stage on July 4 as events promoter Abtex prepares to stage what he describes as the country’s first-ever comedy festival at the UMA Show Grounds.
Abtex believes the festival will open a new chapter for local comedy and has called on Ugandans to turn up in large numbers to celebrate the country’s biggest comedians under one roof.
We are inviting everyone to come and witness the best of comedy in Uganda. This is going to be a historic event, and we have prepared an exciting lineup of talented performers.
Abtex promised a packed programme featuring some of Uganda’s most celebrated comedians and entertainers, urging fans to expect non-stop performances from afternoon until late into the night.
Expect fire, fireworks, and entertainment that will keep us celebrating until the following day. This is not an ordinary show. It is a festival that people will remember.
He also announced that the gates will open at 12:00 pm, giving revelers plenty of time to enjoy the day’s activities before the headline performances begin.
