Peter Okoye Claims Jude Wants Court to Stop Him From Performing P-Square Songs

The bitter feud within P-Square has taken another dramatic turn, with Peter Okoye alleging that his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, has launched a fresh legal battle to stop him from performing songs released under the group’s name.

Peter, popularly known as Mr. P, made the allegation in a video shared on his official social media page while responding to Jude’s recent claims about the ownership of P-Square and the group’s business affairs.

According to Peter, the latest legal action has nothing to do with the ongoing Northside Music case involving government authorities. He insisted that he only appears as a witness in that matter.

Instead, Peter claimed Jude served him with a separate legal notice, which recently brought them before a court.

Jude served me a letter. We just had the hearing recently. During the hearing, the first thing they wanted to do was stop me from performing Psquare songs.

The singer further alleged that Jude made the court request with the support of his twin brother, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, adding another layer to the already strained relationship between the three brothers.

But the dispute did not stop at performance rights.

Peter also challenged Jude’s claim that he brought P-Square to Lagos in 2005, arguing that the group had already released its first album and established itself years earlier.

Psquare’s first album came out in 2003. We have been singing for four to five years before that and even signed our first management contract. Where were you then?

Peter went further, claiming he played a major role in financing their early days in Lagos and still has receipts to support his account.

The latest accusations deepen a family dispute that has stretched beyond music into questions over ownership, royalties and control of the P-Square brand.

Jude had yet to publicly respond to Peter’s latest allegation about the attempt to stop him from performing P-Square songs at the time of the report.
