Beyoncé Donates $1 Million to Colombia Earthquake Relief Efforts

Global superstar Beyoncé has donated $1 million to support communities in Colombia following the devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the country earlier this month.

The powerful quake hit the Chocó region on August 10, causing severe damage to homes and infrastructure, leaving many residents without shelter and disrupting access to essential supplies.

Beyoncé steps in

As relief efforts continue, Beyoncé’s company, Parkwood Entertainment, confirmed that the singer’s donation will support organisations working directly with affected communities.

The funds will help provide immediate assistance, including food and housing supplies, to some of the areas hardest hit by the disaster.

Food For The Poor and World Central Kitchen are among the organisations involved in the ongoing relief efforts.

A long road to recovery

For communities still dealing with the destruction, the focus now remains on getting essential support to those who need it while rebuilding begins.

Beyoncé’s donation adds to those efforts, bringing financial support to organisations working to help families recover from the disaster.

As Colombia begins the long process of rebuilding, the singer has put $1 million behind the effort to help communities get back on their feet.
