Burna Boy has another major global music milestone to celebrate.
The Nigerian Afrobeats superstar and Colombian icon Shakira have taken their World Cup hit “Dai Dai” to 10 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart.
The achievement puts the song among the longest-running No. 1 hits since Billboard launched the global ranking in 2020. Only seven songs have spent at least 10 weeks at the top.
“Dai Dai” has not slowed down since the 2026 FIFA World Cup ended in July. It also holds No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, where it has now spent seven weeks at the summit.
The song has picked up another major win in the United States after reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart.
For Shakira, that marks her first No. 1 on the chart. Burna Boy also gets his first No. 1 as a lead artist there.
The latest numbers underline just how far “Dai Dai” has travelled, taking Burna Boy’s Afrobeats sound from Nigeria to the top of some of the world’s biggest music charts.
